ABOUT PRACTICAL SHOTGUN

The ultimate test of accuracy and speed under time pressure.
Practical Shotgun (PSG) follows a challenging Course of Fire in which the Shooter must respond with split second judgment in order to get the best time.

HOW TO GET THERE

DATES & TIMES

Shooting dates are usually the Last Sunday of the Month from March to October - See the calendar for confirmation.
We arrive from 9.00 and no later than 9.30 to Set Up.
Range fee: £10.
PSG is Weather dependent so always check the Website.

RANGE ORDERS

All shooters to be at the range by 9.15 to help to set up and so we can design a course of fire to suit the number of shooters attending.
All Shooters MUST sign in by 9.45
Late Arrivals will only shoot from the second detail, and anyone arriving after 10.00 will only shoot with the R.O.s agreement.
The wearing of Cammo or Military-looking clothing is strictly forbidden and the Shooter will not be allowed to attend.
The shooting of Slug is also forbidden as the Range is not certified for this.

WHAT YOU CAN USE

Section 1 Shotguns - provided they are on your FAC, and there can be NO sharing.
Section 2 shotguns may also be used and may be shared.
Ammunition must be fibre wads and pellets only, and a normal day’s shooting will Require approx 100/150 cartridges. NO SLUG.

SORRY - No Guests at the range.
You only need to be a Member of the Grove to take part - you do not need separate Membership of a PSG body to take part.
Anyone who has not done a PSG Safety Course before attending must contact the RO running PSG to ensure that sufficient ROs are available to conduct a Safety Course for them prior to taking part.
