Overview
Euston is a privately owned estate range used by Grove Small Arms Club for several months each year since 2018. The range makes use of high back stops, being excavated quarry faces.
It comprises 8 main firing points from which paper and steel targets may be engaged at 200 and 300x in the morning, followed by 100x in the afternoon; there are also 2 lateral firing points allowing shooting to start at 25x, then 50x and lastly falling back to 100x

Booking & Eligibility Requirements
Pre-registration is mandatory for all Club events via the Club’s cloud-based booking system, Range-Mate.
- Grove Small Arms Club members
- Valid FAC and in-date club membership card must be brought by members
- Invited guests may attend on Guest Days, which have been notified to the Police. Guests must be registered via Range-Mate on the invitation of a Grove member and booked onto a shoot
- 10 years of age and over only
Dates & Times
- Shoots take place monthly from February to August
- Arrive by 09:30 to register on the range log for the first detail and assist with setup. If allocated a later detail, arrive at least 30 minutes prior to that detail start time. Sessions start at 10:00 and last 5 hours
- Sessions start at 10:00 and last 5 hours; last shots before 15:00 and depart range by 16:00
- Seven 45-minute details, each including a 15-minute target change
- Details must be pre-booked through the Club Shoot Coordinator.
- Members may arrive during the day in time for the target change prior to their booked detail
- Range Fees : £10
Firearms & Ammunition
- Most Section 1 firearms, including: muzzle loaders, Long-Barrelled Rifles (LBR), Long-Barrelled Pistols (LBP), pistol calibre firearms
- Centrefire rifles up to 4,500 joules / 1,000 m/s
- HME rifles may be permitted with prior written authorisation from the Club Secretary
- Handloaded ammunition permitted only in accordance with NRA handloading rules and club declarations
Facilities & Notes
- Paper and card targets provided by the Club
- Steel targets available at 100 x and greater
- Certain ammunition types prohibited (listed on Range-Mate)
- No camouflage or military-style clothing
- Hearing protection mandatory; eye protection advised
- Range office available for registration and inclement weather
- Toilets available at the range office
- Light refreshments may be available
