28th march
All Grove shoots on Thetford Gallery range will commence with a short zeroing session at 100m.
Those shooters who are unsure of their sights or need to zero will have 15 minutes to prove that they can group on the target.
Shooting will then move back to 300m for the usual 60minute session.
If any shooter cannot reliable group on the target at this range they will be invited to either change their gun to one that can reliably group on the target or leave the range.
Again if a shooter cannot group on the target at 600yds they will be invited to either change their gun or leave the range.
All shooters should note that to pass a probationary course and become a full member they are required to prove that they can group within 12” at 100m, 24” at 200m and 36” at 300m, if you cannot get all your shots on the target at 300m you fail to meet the minimum requirement to hold a shooter certification card.

At Barton Road all shooters will be invited to zero their guns at 200m with the HME shooters, if the RCO considers a gun unsuitable to shoot at 800/1000/1100yds he will request the shooter to prove he can group on the HME target at 200m. If the RCO considers a shooter unable to reliably group on the long range targets the shooter will be required to cease shooting.
Those shooters who want to shoot at Barton Road must be suitably equipped for the long ranges, target rifles and specialist rifles will meet this requirement, iron sighted military rifles do not.
Shooters with unusual guns are advised to seek the RCO’s opinion and undertake the 200m zeroing practice.

Paul.
